Limo is a craftswomen from Miami, at home in Amsterdam. Her practice revolves around a ritualistic and historically informed textile craft. Silk is her dominant medium. Collecting second-hand materials, natural dying and patchworking form the base of her work. These pieces are then transformed into textile works, costumes, fashion, or installations. Her work heavily draws on the symbolism of Amsterdam’s architecture, folk histories, mythology, and the esoteric.
